Meet our team

Dr Andrew Slade BVSc

Practice Owner & Veterinarian

Andrew was born and raised on Northern Beaches. His dream is to have his own veterinary practice and raise his young family here, which is now a reality!

Andrew graduated from The University of Sydney in 2012, and has worked in various clinics on the Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches and Sydney's Inner West. During this time he has seen a wide range of cases and gained a wealth of experience.

Andrew is a very likeable, warm person and he is most happy when he is helping others. He particularly enjoys managing medical cases and long term conditions, and has completed additional courses in radiology.

Andrew is married to Natalie, and when they are not at the practice they spend their time on the beaches, walking and relaxing with their dog Gracie and 2 young children. Andrew enjoys a good coffee, a nice dinner and going to the gym. He also loves the rugby!

Dr Natalie Slade BVSc MANZCVS (Small Animal Surgery)

Practice Owner & Veterinarian

Natalie graduated from The University of Sydney in 2009, and began her career at the RSPCA in Sydney. Following this she spent several years in private practice in Neutral Bay and on the Northern Beaches.

In 2015 she completed additional examinations and was accepted as a Member of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in the Small Animal Surgery Chapter. For 3 consecutive years (2018-2020) Natalie has been selected as a Senior Examiner for the ANZCVS, which is considered a prestigious position. She has also completed additional courses in a variety of surgery topics. For the past 5 years she has also been the co-ordinator of Sydney-based 'Surgery Journal Club', a unique series of evenings whereby surgical specialists, residents, interns and GP vets to come together for the common good of the profession to share their knowledge and experiences with one another, with the aim to continually learn and grow.

Surgery is definitely something Natalie is interested in, but her primary passion is simply getting to know her patients and their families, and developing a special, lasting bond with them.

Natalie is married to Andrew, and together they spend their spare time on the beaches, hanging out with their dog Gracie and 2 little children. Natalie enjoys running, swimming at the beach and outdoor activities. She is also a fan of good food, nice wine and strong coffee.

Charlotte Sykes

Senior Nurse

Charlotte is a local on the Northern Beaches, and has lived in the area for almost 20 years. We are so lucky to have Charlotte, she is a very experienced nurse, and an important part of our team, having worked with both Andrew & Natalie for 5 years elsewhere. Charlotte is a true animal lover, and is particularly interested in looking out for our feline patients.

With an MBA qualification under her belt, Charlotte chose to leave the hustle and bustle of the marketing world behind to pursue her passion as a veterinary nurse, and after 12 years she's never looked back. She also has gained an RVN qualification with AVNAT, which is new scheme for nurses who've proven dedication to continuing professional development.

Charlotte has an elderly rescue cat with 3 legs called Jake, and looks after Beau the Labrador from Manly's Bear Cottage on a regular basis. She loves a good giggle and a glass of Pinot Noir.

Grace Iacobbe

Veterinary student nurse

Grace is another Northern Beaches local who is currently studying to be a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at The University of Sydney. Having worked together for over 2 years, Grace has continually impressed us with her enthusiasm and intelligence. She has gained a lot of experience with nursing having worked in veterinary clinics for over ——— years. We know that she will make a great vet!

She has 2 pets of her own, a rescue kitten called Meeko and a kelpie named Nama.
