Right now we are getting ready to open the doors. It’s the final weeks before the adventure begins, and we’re running around a little bit crazily trying to sort out all of the final touches.
We set out to create a veterinary clinic like no other. Between the two of us, Andrew and I have worked in quite a few clinics over the years and have really thought through what we’d like to do differently if we had the chance to start from scratch.
Have you ever renovated your home? We have and we thought project managing that was fine, but a vet clinic….. that’s next level!
We wanted our clinic to have heart. We wanted our clients to feel at home and the pets to be calm. We want it to feel like you’re being invited into our home when you walk in. We are going to be spending a lot of time here (more than we will at our actual home I would say), so why not make it comfortable and stylish?
I guess you could say this project is a very personal one for us. This practice is not just a veterinary clinic to us, it’s our dream being brought to life. We’ve fought really hard to get to this point, and we’ve put everything on the line.
If you like what you see and experience here we hope that you will support us, and recommend us to your friends and family.
There are so many practices that have turned corporate, and this makes it really hard for locals like us to ’have a go’. We rely on our local community to support us just like any other small business.
So as I head off to buy the last few plants and yet another cushion, I’m imaging our waiting room filled with smiling people, calm cats and happy dogs – and for that moment we just can’t wait!
